Winemaker Notes
This special wine was done in an unusual style. After pressing our Rosé of Sangiovese, the pressed skins were added back into the bins of the fermenting Sangiovese. So what took place was a ‘double skin’ fermentation, similar to the Italian ‘Ripasso’ style. What resulted is a wine with massive structure, depth and complexity. The color alone is astonishing, quite deep and dark. The wine is full of dark red fruit that explodes from the glass with additional aromatics of pepper and spice. There is a great backbone of tannin, and tremendous acidity, which are the hallmarks of a wine with great aging potential

Winemaker Notes
97% Syrah (10% whole cluster), co-fermented with 3% whole cluster Viognier. This is a big bold Syrah with a seductive nose of violet floral notes which the Viognier brings, along with big meaty bacon, dark plum and smoky spicy goodness of the Syrah. It is plush and full on the palate with rich elements of dark fruits and a supple yet powerful structure.

Winemaker Notes
Wonderful aromatics of ripe raspberry, strawberry and rhubarb. Lush and full on the palate, with tart cranberry, crisp and clean acidity. There is residual sugar, but it is not too much, just a perfect, gentle kiss of sweetness . The finish is long and lingering with finishing notes of granite and minerality. A perfect wine for summer which will pair well with grilled summer meals and picnics. Alcohol: 13.4%, pH: 3.10, TA: .73 Residual Sugar:1.9%
